“I've run engineering since day one at Oracle, and I still run engineering. I hold meetings every week with the database team, the middleware team, the applications team. I run engineering, and I will do that until the board throws me out of there.
I'm also involved with all of the acquisitions and overall strategy. Now it's true, I don't run operations. But I've never really run operations. I've never had the endurance to run sales. The whole idea of selling to the customer just isn't my personality. I'm an engineer--tell me why something isn't working or is, and I'm curious. “
And you probably thought Larry Ellison just cared about sailing.

Partitioning: What You Should Be Aware Of

Oracle Standard Edition cannot be licensed on a machine with a capacity greater than four (4) processors. Accordingly customers cannot partition a large server (e.g. 64 CPU’s) into a four (4) processor hardware partition, and then license the Standard Edition for that partition. |
Leading Analyst Firm Positions Oracle's Siebel CRM Applications in Leaders Quadrant for Sales Force Automation

With over four million CRM deployed seats and over 150 million registered self-service users, Oracle recently announced that its Siebel CRM applications have been positioned in the Leader Quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation.
Gartner's Magic Quadrant positions vendors in a particular market segment based on their vision and ability to execute that vision. One of the criterion is proving that it can be deployed in sales organizations of more than 100 users. |
