Scott Rosenberg Selected as Finalist for Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2006 New Jersey Awards Program

Iselin, New Jersey (May 12, 2006)
Ernst & Young announced this week that Miro Consulting, Inc. Founder and CEO Scott Rosenberg has been selected as a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® (EOY) 2006 New Jersey Awards Program.

Since August 2000, New Jersey-based Miro Consulting has provided advisory services to Oracle clients needing assistance in managing their highly complex and ever-changing software licensing assets.  This highly successful consulting practice has helped 200+ clients throughout North America negotiate new Oracle licensing and consulting contracts and renegotiate existing contracts, significantly lowering the cost of Oracle ownership.  Miro has saved its clients over $41 million in Oracle licensing and license support cost and overseen over $417 million in Oracle transactions.

Scott Rosenberg founded Miro Consulting after nearly two decades in engineering, operations and information technology.  Immediately prior to founding Miro, he was a co-principal and driving force behind a highly successful Oracle consulting company.  Mr. Rosenberg is a frequent guest speaker at industry conferences and forums and is an active member of both SoundBoard and Society for Information Management (SIM). He earned a B.S. Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® award honors entrepreneurs whose ingenuity, hard work and perseverance have created and sustained successful, growing business ventures.  Ernst & Young created the program in 1986 in a single Midwestern City in the US; today, E&Y has expanded to more than 125 cities in 40 countries, with awards presented to over 100 of the world's most successful and innovative entrepreneurs. Winners are selected by an independent judging panel in each location. This year’s New Jersey winner will be announced at an awards banquet on June 22, 2006.

All winners become lifetime members of The Entrepreneur Of The Year Hall of Fame, which is part of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Academy.  Each year the national country winners from around the world are invited to the World Entrepreneur Of The Year awards.  They were last held on May 26-29, 2005, in Monte Carlo, Monaco.  Wayne Huizenga, CEO of Huizenga Holdings, owner of the Miami Dolphins and the 2004 National Entrepreneur Of The Year from the United States, was named as this year's World Entrepreneur Of The Year.  The 2nd Annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year World Summit, is scheduled June 6-11, 2006, in Monte Carlo at the Grimaldi Forum.
